Riverside goes country.

A unique initiative initiated by teachers at Wee Waa and Riverside high schools is now in its third year.

Recently a group of students from Riverside travelled out west to experience country New South Wales and take part in classroom activities in listening, co-operative learning and problem solving.  The model was processed by the Head Teacher,TAS, at Riverside and has proved challenging and rewarding with the many groups who have participated. 

Students were also confronted with the openness of the landscape, the sparseness of population, beauty of the environment and of course the strangeness of isolation.

We again thank the teachers and students from both schools who made this experience so memorable for the participants.
